Fun with "FEN"

Marketed under popular brands like 'Cashyo', 'Reals' , and 'Big Boss' the product is registered under the GI (Geographical Identification) name "****" and is described as a colourless clear liquid when matured in wooden barrels getting golden brown tint. The word "****" which also is the name of a district located in Bangladesh,  is derived as such because when the liquor is shaken in a bottle or poured in a glass some froth is formed which in the local language is known as "FEN”.

What beverage is being described here??

Crack “This” if u can….!

Often mistaken to be a car metaphor “This” was originally a parliamentary expression derived from the relative low influence of persons and issues from the back benches (the bench-seats where members sit in the House of Commons), as opposed to the front benches, where the leaders of the government and opposition sit.

What should be there in place of “This” ?

In 1960, he joined the National Defence Academy, Pune, and in 1964, he joined the Air Force Flying Colleges in Jodhpur and Allahabad. He served the Indian Air Force between 1964 – 1972. After a premature discharge from the Air Force, X ran a small fast food shop in Pune and was spotted by Sanjay Gandhi during one of his trips there and was one of the young people at that time that he convinced to join politics with the Congress Party. X has served effectively in various capacities with the Congress since and is now one of the wealthiest businessman as well in Pune even from his known sources of income.
He was a member of the Rajya Sabha for three terms from 1982 to 1995, and again in 1998. He was also elected to the 11th Lok Sabha in 1996, and to the 14th Lok Sabha in 2004.
During the tenure of P. V. Narasimha Rao as the Prime Minister of India, X served as the Minister of State for Railways from 1995 to 1996.

Time to get nostalgic

This question is especially designed for my MFC frnds...hope all of them will crack it

X is the eleventh largest city in India. It is primarily an industrial city, apart from being a port city. It is also home to the Eastern Naval Command.
Stories abound about the origin of it’s name, some more famous ones are as follows;
This city got it’s name as it was ruled by KING X VARMA during BC's, according to Hindu Purans.
Another story of this place is it was named after the deity of valour, the second son of Lord Shiva.
The other story is that the beauty of the place was compared to the beauty of Sakhi X.
The local people believe that the local king, impressed by the beauty, built a temple to pay obeisance to his family deity ,X, hence it was named so.

Solve for X and name the city are we talking about.

Ever had a sneaking suspicion that perhaps the later generations are smarter than their predecessors???? In that case you are not alone, it is a fact and it happens to be a widely acknowledged and well documented phenomenon….what’s more???...it even has a name!!!!!
It is called the ……………….effect.
The ......    effect describes an increase in the average intelligence quotient (IQ) test scores over generations.
What “effect” are we talking about?
